Local Firms Martin Snow, LLP and Haygood, Lynch, Harris, Melton & Watson, LLP Announce Merger
The law firms of Martin Snow, LLP and Haygood, Lynch, Harris, Melton & Watson, LLP have announced their merger into Martin Snow, LLP, effective January 1, 2026. This combination enhances Martin Snow’s ability to serve individuals, families, and businesses as clients throughout Middle Georgia by expanding its footprint into Forsyth and Monticello, while maintaining Martin Snow’s existing Macon offices.
Haygood, Lynch, Harris, Melton & Watson, LLP can trace its roots in Monroe County for over 125 years and has a long history of providing high-quality legal services through a general practice focused on clients in Monroe, Jasper, and surrounding counties. The firm’s varied areas of practice have included administrative law, civil litigation, corporate law, estate planning, local government law, personal injury, real estate law, and wills and estates, with offices in Forsyth and Monticello.
Martin Snow, LLP has a long history, too. Established in 1890, the firm is well-respected for its wide-ranging experience in a number of legal disciplines, including business/corporate law, real estate, litigation, trusts and estates, bankruptcy, securities, taxation, and more. The firm currently serves clients from its Downtown Macon and North Macon offices and is known for its comprehensive legal capabilities and commitment to client service.
As part of the merger, attorneys Bob Harris, Molly Watson, and Bobby Melton will continue practicing together from the Forsyth and Monticello offices, assisted by long-time employees Jennifer Palacio and Carol Sanders and recently hired Rhonda Grizzard. Bookkeeper Brandi Pinson will be employed by Martin Snow as well. “We want to assure our long-time and loyal clients that it will be business as usual at 87 N. Lee Street in Forsyth and at our Monticello location following the merger of our two firms,” said Harris. Martin Snow partner Pete Allen, one of two attorneys in the Martin Snow partnership who are long-time Monroe County residents, will be relocating his practice from Macon and working out of the Forsyth and Monticello offices as well. This arrangement ensures continuity of service for existing clients, retains local accessibility, and offers a seamless transition into Martin Snow’s broader platform.
