Joel A. Howe
Joe Howe is a partner in the firm’s litigation section. His wide-ranging experience includes insurance defense litigation, such as motor vehicle collisions, motor carrier liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and other personal injury and wrongful death tort litigation. He also has worked extensively with insurance coverage disputes and declaratory judgment actions. Joe is certified as a mediator and arbitrator by the Georgia Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and is managing partner of South Georgia ADR Service (www.southgeorgiaadr.com), a mediation firm offering complete alternative dispute resolution services in middle and southern Georgia.
Joe graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1995, where he served on the Mercer Law Review. Joe is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Macon Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. In the community, Joe attends Vineville United Methodist Church, coaches youth sports and serves on the board of Vine Ingle Little League (President 2012-2013).
