Michael Mayo is a partner in the firm’s litigation section. He maintains a general litigation practice including complex business matters, insurance defense, construction law, personal injury, and property disputes. Michael has successfully defended clients in jury trials, and he has also obtained successful trial verdicts on behalf of plaintiffs. He has protected judgments and verdicts through the appellate process. When settlement is possible, Michael routinely advises clients through mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He also routinely advises business clients on the potential benefits and risks of litigation.
Michael graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 2009, Michael earned his Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, where he received the George W. Woodruff Scholarship.
Michael is a member of Woodfield Academy’s Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Macon Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, William Augustus Bootle American Inn of Court, and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.
